Hi Richard,
The content and the form of your email is excellent. I corrected your mistakes. Take a look below.
You an use I more often. Sometimes you have problems in vocabulary choice and expressions, but that's understandable. The longer you stay in Canada, the easier it will become to chose the right words and expressions. Listen to people talking at work and pay attention to the email messages you get at work. You can learn a lot that way.

Hi Tom,
I am very happy to hear that you got a job. Congratulations!
You know our teacher, Vesna, was back this week. We reviewed some regular conjunctions for complex sentences and compound sentences this week. And wWe also did some practices exercises for though, although, and even though. By doing these practices exercises, we I deeply understood deeply these conjunctions for varied occasions or how to use them . Even though I have learned English for more than ten years in China, I still can't use these conjunctionsexactly correctly sometimes. We will learn more conjunctions in the next week.
As you know this weekend is the Chinese Spring Festival. , S so our classmates did some presentations for the traditional holiday. Something likes We talked about the Chinese Zodiac, food, activities etc. They presentations were very interesting. There are Some things are we or I don't know although we or I have lived in China for so many years. By showing these presentations, we shown ed or shared our culture, and we also got a chance to practice our speaking of inEnglish.
That is a summary of this week. We or I hope you will be back soon. Happy New Year!
Best regards,
Richard
